How are your natural products preserved?
Soaps, lip balms, salves, body butters, massage oils, sugar scrubs and
bath bombs do not contain water. Therefore they do not require
preservation. Natural antioxidants are added to many products to help
maintain the integrity of the oils. Lotions are preserved with either a
blend of botanical extracts laboratory tested to provide natural
antimicrobial activity or with a synthetic preservative used at a rate
of less than 1%. Products will be freshest when used within one year.
How should I care for my natural products?
Removing sugar scrub from the container with a clean utensil prior to showering will help prevent the introduction of water to your container and will greatly extend the life of the scrub. Products should be stored in a cool dry location. Soaps should be stored on a soap dish that provides adequate drainage so that they do not rest in a pool of water.
Will products melt in shipping?
Body butters, lip balms, and salves may soften during shipping in warmer weather. The quality of the product should not be affected. Upon receiving a product that has been affected by the heat simply place
it in the refrigerator for a short time. Some settling may occur in the whipped shea body butter if the product has melted in transit.
Are your products 100% natural?
Most of our products are 100% natural and the remainder are 96-99.9% natural. A percentage will be listed so that you may be informed about which products contain fragrance oils or preservatives. Products containing fragrance oils have been requested time and again because essential oils cannot duplicate some scents. Products free from essential oils are also offered for consumers who have been advised by a physician to avoid them. Preservation is required for our lotion products which contain water. Without adequate preservation water and oil mixtures are susceptible to bacterial growth over time.
Are your products tested on animals?
Our products are tested on humans. Beeswax, honey, lanolin, and emu oil are used in select products. Please observe ingredient listings for full details.
Is your packaging recyclable?
The majority of our containers are recyclable plastic number one or two. We select plastics that are recyclable whenever possible. Our shipping materials will also consist of reused corrugated cardboard boxes and reused packing peanuts.
Why is the shape of my bottle different than the picture on the web site?
Occasionally we are able to purchase high quality bottles and jars at a reduced price. Because we want our prices to remain consistent we select packaging that will allow us to continue offering exceptional quality products at reasonable prices. Be assured that you will still receive the same amount of product in an elegant package.
Are your products measured in weight or volume?
Products that come in containers are measured in ounces by volume. In most instances the weight of the product exceeds the volume of the product. For instance, sugar scrubs weigh more than 10 ounces but are packaged by volume in 8 ounce jars. Soaps are measured in ounces by weight.
Do I have to order online?
No. If you are uncomfortable ordering through our secure website using your credit card or paypal account you can contact Simplicity Soaps via email or telephone to place an order.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our products we are unable to accept returns. Please contact us with product inquiries so that we may be sure that you are satisfied with your purchase.

What is your processing/shipping time?
Most items should be available for shipping within 3-5 days. In the
event that a product you have ordered is
temporarily out of stock you will be contacted and an alternative may be
selected or the order may be held
until the product is available. The length of time for transportation
will depend on your shipping selection of either FedEx 2-day, FedEx
Ground (click here for map), or USPS Priority Mail
which takes approximately 2-3 days. Customers selecting the FedEx shipping
option will receive an email with a tracking number.
Do you do custom orders?
Please contact us to discuss the possibility of a custom order. We would be delighted to hear your ideas and happy to make smaller product sizes for special event favors.
How is my personal information
handled?
Your personal information is protected by our secure check-out process. In
addition, under no circumstances will any of your personal information be
shared with a third party. We understand the annoyance caused by spam and
junk mail.
Are you
